How many porta potties do you need for a party?
A party of 50 guests for 4 hours needs 1 standard porta potty, and 100 guests for 4 hours need 2. Add 1 unit for every 4 when beer or alcohol is served, and add 1 wheelchair-accessible unit for public events. A 120-guest graduation party lasting 5 hours needs 3 standard units.
| Event | Typical setup |
|---|---|
| Backyard birthday, 40 guests, 4 hrs | 1 standard unit |
| Graduation party, 120 guests, 5 hrs | 3 standard units + 1 hand-wash station |
| Church picnic, 200 guests, 4 hrs | 4 standard + 1 accessible + 1 hand-wash station |
| Youth tournament, 300 people, 8 hrs | 12 standard + 1 accessible + 2 hand-wash stations |
Why are weekend units delivered on Friday?
Weekend units are delivered on Friday because drivers run fixed routes Monday through Friday. A Friday drop puts the unit on site before guests arrive, and a Monday pickup keeps trucks out of your driveway during the party. The extra days are included in the event price.
Need the unit on Saturday morning only? Ask dispatch. Saturday drops are possible on some routes for an extra fee.
Do events in Temple parks need a permit?
Events in City of Temple parks need an outdoor event application through Temple Parks and Recreation. The city asks for 15 business days for events under 100 people and 30 working days for 100 or more, plus a site plan that lists restrooms. Book porta potties after your date is approved.

Event and party rental questions
Can I rent a porta potty for just one day?
One-day events are priced as event rentals, which cover up to 3 days on site. You pay the same whether the unit stays one day or Friday to Monday.
How much does a porta potty cost for a party?
A standard porta potty for a Temple party starts at $165, including delivery, pickup and a clean, stocked unit. Deluxe flushable units start at $235. Tax is added. See all prices.
Where should I put the porta potty at a party?
Put the unit on flat, firm ground near the party but downwind of food tables, with the door facing away from seating. Leave a clear path from the street so the truck can reach it.
Do I need to clean the porta potty during the party?
You do not need to clean it. For events over 6 hours or with more guests than planned, we can send a mid-event service to pump and restock.
Can you deliver to a church or school?
We deliver to churches, schools, ball fields and community centers across Temple. Share the contact person, the gate or lot access, and any time windows when trucks are not allowed.
What if it rains on my event?
Porta potties work in rain. We set units on firm ground or pavement so they do not sink in wet clay. If you postpone more than 48 hours before delivery, there is no cancellation fee.
